Mother's Day Gift Guide 2019

Mum. Madre. Mama. Ma. Mother. They have many names, and we all have them; it’s only fair that there should be a whole day dedicated to appreciating all they do for us. Mother’s Day is a great opportunity for people all around the world to celebrate their mothers. Many people do this by spending time with their mothers, often giving them cards and gifts as a token of their love and appreciation. This post details our suggestions for the perfect Mother’s Day gifts from pampeano; we hope you find something to treat your mother with this Mother’s Day.

This year we are offering a complimentary bottle of Gibson's Organic Liqueurs which is based in the Cotswolds producing delicious, Great Taste Award winning, organic fruit liqueurs from its own produce; with our selected Mother's Day gift packages we are offering you a liqueur of your choice with your gift.

It wouldn’t be a pampeano gift guide without featuring one of our iconic polo belts. For Mother’s Day we suggest the  Paramo. This vibrant pink, grey and caramel belt would suit any mother. We also recommend the Helado; with a name meaning “ice cream”, this bright, sweet polo belt is sure to hit the spot. We also offer optional personalisation of up to three letters on our polo belts, which makes a belt from pampeano an extra special gift this Mother’s Day. These three letters could be used for their initials, both of your initials to show your special bond, or even the word “mum”.

The origin of Mother’s Day lies in the Catholic faith. In the 16th century, Mothering Sunday - celebrated three weeks before Easter Sunday - was a holy day on which people returned to their “mother church” (the church in which they were baptised) with their families for a special service.

For the fashion-conscious mother who is always looking for a new handbag, consider our exclusive cross-body bag and purse gift package. This great combo is a chance to treat your mother to a highly customised package, with the ability to choose the colour of the bag, the design of the strap and the type and colour of the purse. All of our luxury leather goods are the finest quality, and a gift from pampeano is really showing that you care.

The Mother’s Day celebration which we know today was started by Anne Reeves Jarvis in the USA in the early 20th Century. This inspired a movement by Constance Penswick-Smith, a Nottinghamshire Vicar’s daughter, to reinvigorate the celebration in the UK, which had previously begun to lapse. Thus the modern Mother’s Day was born, and ever since every year people have been celebrating motherhood.

For the mothers who are always running out of space in their bag, take a look at our tote bag and purse gift package. At 46cm wide and 31cm tall, this bag will carry all the mothering essentials. The bag comes in brown, black or navy, and the purses come in a range of styles and colours, so you can choose a combination which suits your mother.

If your mother is always off travelling, consider the travel card holder and keyring gift package. These will help keep her organised and stylish, particularly if she is always misplacing boarding passes and IDs. pampeano are proud to stock a wide range of luxury leather travel accessories, embodying the spirit of adventure which is at the heart of the company.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on different days around the world. In the UK, it’s on the on the third Sunday before Easter. In the States - along with many other countries - it’s the second Sunday of May. In Argentina, where pampeano was born, Día de la Madre - Day of the Mother - is celebrated on the third Sunday of October. While they occur on different days, they all signify the same thing; a celebration of motherhood.

Sometimes less is more, and as a small but significant token of affection consider our Vida heart key ring, so your mother can carry it wherever she goes and think of you every time she sees it. These come in a variety of colours, to suit mothers with every taste.

Whatever you decide to give to your mother this year, remember to give her the appreciation and love that she deserves.
