Every piece of plastic ever made still exists somewhere on our planet— and that's a pretty staggering thought. It is this alarming reality that inspired Plastic Free July, a global movement that encourages people to reduce their use of single-use plastics for the month of July— and ideally beyond. It started in 2011 in Western Australia and is now coordinated by the Plastic Free Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation.
Goals of Plastic Free July
- Raise awareness of plastic pollution.
- Encourage individuals, businesses, and communities to reduce single-use plastic.
- Promote sustainable alternatives (like reusable bags, containers, and water bottles).
- Inspire long-term behaviour change that continues after July ends.
Examples of What Participants Might Do
- Say no to plastic straws, cutlery, and bags
- Bring reusable containers and coffee cups
- Choose unpackaged fruits and vegetables
- Avoid products wrapped in excessive plastic
- Make DIY alternatives (like beeswax wraps instead of cling film)
Thoughtfully Designed, Consciously Delivered
Every detail in a pampeano product tells a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and care. That same thoughtfulness extends to how we deliver our products. Our packaging is completely plastic-free and gift-ready, ensuring that from the moment you receive your order, your experience is both exceptional and environmentally responsible.
We use recyclable cardboard boxes, paper bags, and eco-friendly tape to encase our signature leather goods. This not only protects each product during its journey to you but also aligns with our ethos of sustainability and respect for the environment.

Why Plastic-Free Matters
Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. Over 8 million tonnes of plastic enter our oceans every year, harming marine life and contributing to a growing global crisis. By eliminating plastic from our packaging, pampeano is doing its part to reduce waste and set a new standard in the premium accessories industry.

A Commitment That Runs Deep
Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop at packaging. From sourcing the finest vegetable-tanned leather to working with skilled artisans who use traditional, low-impact techniques, every stage of our process is designed with care for people and the planet.
We also strive to make our packaging part of the experience, not just protective, but beautiful and considered. Our minimalist materials are designed to be reused to make your products last even longer, eliminating waste without compromising the quality our customers expect.

Join Us This Plastic Free July
We invite you to join us this Plastic Free Awareness Month in making conscious choices that contribute to a more sustainable world. Whether it is carrying a reusable water bottle, saying no to plastic bags or supporting brands that prioritise the environment, every small step counts.
